GRADE 3

Grade 3 students need a well-deserved break after a very busy term.

In literacy, we have done a lot of work on persuasive texts and have been practising debating in class. I have been able to see the confidence of the students building, each time they came and spoke in front of the class. Debating is a wonderful skill to be developing in primary children.

In Integrated Studies, students learnt about different cultural celebrations and completed a project as a power point presentation. I think it was a great way to learn about and appreciate other cultures. As part of the Eid festive month, we also made some lanterns to decorate our class.

Next term, grade 3 students will be participating in the Intercampus Spelling Competition. It will be a new experience for them and I would like all students to practise their spelling from the Spelling Mastery books during the holidays.

I am concerned with some students not completing their online homework and would appreciate it if you could cooperate in this matter and see that your child is completing the assigned homework regularly. Reading is also extremely important and your child should be reading for at least 15-20 minutes everyday.

Wish you all a safe holiday and a very Happy Eid!!!
